Good Things and Bad Things About Snapchat

Image
Screens may be taking away from our free time more and more as it keeps getting advanced. For example, the average 24 hours workday consist of 4 main things 7-8 hours of sleep 8.5 to 9 hours of work 3 hours on survival needs such as watching kids bathing Etc. A couple hours for personal time And ever since the smartphones and tablets started coming out in 2007 that a couple of hours a day that we get for our personal time has been getting smaller and smaller. I somewhat agree with this because I know that personally, I used my phone little to none a day when I was younger id really only use it for calling texting and getting places and now I've been using it a lot every single day. The part that I disagree about is that they are saying that no one is able to go out and have fun and do anything because we're all glued to our phones but I've still been able to go out do anything I've wanted to and still be able to use my phone at the same time ...

facial recognition and drones

This week we had to find 2 different articles and they both had to be about how local government and the global government are both using technology. The article that I found for how the local government uses technology is how the Portsmouth police department was able to get the money and access to be able to use drones for police matters. For example In New Hampshire the Portsmouth police department was able to get a grant to be able to be able to get multiple police drones and it would help them out a lot because it can take infrared photos from way up above a house if they need to find a person on the run or something. Some of the things that these drones can do is “It can light up a crime scene, carries two batteries and can find people in the water or woods by programming one of its two cameras to photograph people with specific temperatures. The DJI Matrice 210 "quadcopter" can also find hot spots in a burning building and outfitted with accessories, cost about $25,000...

What the ads on your computer do

This week I watched “We’re Building a Dystopia Just to Make People Click on Ads” which is an article that focuses on technology and how whatever you look up on the internet whether its youtube, facebook, amazon, Walmart or anything it eventually follows you around. That's the one idea that I found interesting when I was doing this blog was that everything that you look up will track you down to every site you go to and will want to suggest things similar to it. Even on youtube, it will want to bring you to different youtube videos and such in the play next column. I thought this was interesting because now that I read it I can relate to it because I've noticed it when I look up things I need or am just looking at. For example, sometimes when I go out on eBay amazon or do a google search and try and find truck parts for my trucks I'll be seeing that part on almost all the ads on every website for the rest of the week, So that's how I know it can follow you around Anothe...

technology

Jason Technology is starting to take over alot of everything in the united states, Some of the things that has already been replaced by technology is using pay phones, writing essays in school, listing to music and much more, the one that Im focusing on in this blog post is how technology has affected cars. They want to make everything electric now, like self driving cars such as tesla, then you have other electric cars such as prius, nissan, bmw. But what will happen when everything goes electric? If everything went electric whats gonna happen to all the workers and owners of all these car companys. What will happen to the seventy million workers and owners nationwide in the automotive industry if they have a chance of loosing there job by the expected year of 2030. (Dickinson) But another thing to think about is if they expect to have self driving cars and electric cars by 2030 what will happen to farmers, big truck hauling companys, taxi drivers, uber drivers, and all th...
