Good Things and Bad Things About Snapchat
7-8 hours of sleep

A couple hours for personal time
And ever since the smartphones and tablets started coming out in 2007 that a couple of hours a day that we get for our personal time has been getting smaller and smaller. I somewhat agree with this because I know that personally, I used my phone little to none a day when I was younger id really only use it for calling texting and getting places and now I've been using it a lot every single day. The part that I disagree about is that they are saying that no one is able to go out and have fun and do anything because we're all glued to our phones but I've still been able to go out do anything I've wanted to and still be able to use my phone at the same time
"Every day, over 100 million people use Snapchat to catch up with friends, share their lives with each other, and keep up with the brands they love. This adds up to a whopping eight billion videos consumed every day on Snapchat. Snapchat is popular with the young crowd, but it isn’t just for teens. The most popular age group for Snapchat is 18 to 24-year-olds (37%), followed by 25 to 34-year-olds (26%). Snapchat is also one of the most downloaded apps. Over 60% of all American smartphone users aged 13 to 34 download and use Snapchat frequently.” (Ledgard). Even though there are so many people that use snap chat for all different kinds of communication there are some downsides of using electronic apps like that. Instead of going out and having real-life communication or going out and doing something productive snapchat will always update its app so that you have to keep using it. For example, every time they update it they do something different to the app to keep you hooked as in new face filters or completely new design of the app, basically just little things to keep you interested. Another thing that keeps people being hooked to this app is the snapchat streaks, I know from personal experience that when you have a high snap streak you don't want to lose it you try to keep it going for as long as you can and see how high you can get it, for example right now one of my highest streaks is 1,106 days.

It's interesting to me that the graph you include doesn't show that people get less sleep than they used to. I wonder if a chart showing 24 hours of a teenager would look different.
